Choosing a career shouldn’t begin with:
“Which career should I choose?”
It can begin with a much more important question:
“Who am I, and what possibilities could be right for me?”
The YOUniverse School Program (YSP) is designed for students in Grades 9–12 to help them discover their strengths, explore possibilities, build relevant skills and prepare for their future.
The journey begins with discovery.
Students explore their:
- Interests
- Strengths
- Aptitudes
- Personality
- Values
- Aspirations
Then comes exploration.
Students are introduced to:
- Career possibilities
- Industries
- Professionals
- Workshops
- Competitions
- Projects
- Internships
- Observerships
- Experiential learning
Then comes profile building.
Students get opportunities to develop:
- Communication
- Leadership
- Problem-solving
- Creativity
- Entrepreneurship
- Technology awareness
- Other relevant skills
And eventually — application.
As students move towards higher education, they can use their experiences and learning to make more informed decisions about courses, universities and future pathways.
YSP is therefore not designed as a one-time career counselling session.
It is a continuous student development journey.
